An Amazing Way to See Quito! This bike tour was the perfect way to explore Quito! The guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure everyone felt comfortable throughout the ride. The route was well-planned, taking us through some of the city’s most scenic and culturally rich areas while avoiding heavy traffic whenever possible. The bikes were in great condition, and the pace was just right—challenging enough to be fun but not too intense. We stopped at several key landmarks, where the guides shared fascinating insights about Quito’s history and culture. The views along the way were absolutely breathtaking!I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an active and unique way to experience Quito. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or just someone who enjoys exploring on two wheels, this is a fantastic way to see the city. David R2025-03-26 Fabulous City cycle tour Mauro was a great guide......very personable and full of knowledge. We had a delicious coffee lemonade drink at a great community cafe, we stopped at an artisan market and never felt rushed. We cycled through delightful parks before heading to a high point to see the city, the bascilica and then to the street of seven crosses. As we had previously had a chocolate tour we went for an artisan ice cream absolutely divine. Mauro's knowledge of the city and it's history was phenomenal. We biked much further than we thought (almost 22km!) so we felt we deserved the lunch mauro recommended at magic bean ❤️ Amanda2025-02-26 Biking in Quito Mauro 1st was prepared with good bike, helmet, pannier to carry my bag, pant strap, water bottle & poncho.2nd he is very knowledgeable about his home City, Quito. I enjoy history, fun facts about the various neighborhoods, architecture and shops.3rd I never felt rushed, he made sure we are both safe, he asked what I am interested and he had stops at charming cafe, brunch, chocolate tasting. We toured the basilica, again very knowledgeable. I am pleased we had periods of no rain & rain, this did not slow us down. There are many bike lanes and various parks. Drivers seem careful, it was a good route. He took photos I appreciated and a strava map too. Most important he is a friendly and interesting gentleman. A person to enjoy a day with. Thanks to adding to my travels. alison v2025-02-17 Quito cycling Quito is best explored by bike. This tour is a must for anyone who wants to combine culture and movement. The guide was excellent and knew a lot to tell me! Lionel Milius2025-02-17 Incredible value, book this tour!! Absolutely phenomenal bike tour! Book immediately and with confidence. When the hills are steep, Mauro will ask/suggest to walk the bikes up the hill. He’s very patient and mindful of everyone’s skill level. We feel like we saw any/all sites in Quito we would have wanted to see—and learned a ton along the way. Wear sunscreen and bring a lil bottle to re-apply! Mauro provided a water bottle for us and the bike has a tiny zipper pocket on the handlebars to secure small things (such as your tiny bottle of sunscreen! 😉) nonameloco2025-02-12 The most beautiful and complete visit to quito A great walk in beautiful areas of Quito, with one of the best guides, whether for history, architecture biodiversity biology and also on daily life in Quito hafida2025-01-26 Great way to see, experience and learn about Quito! We did a bike tour that was amazing. We felt safe, not too difficult yet challenging. And saw many places and learned a lot! Our bike guide was Mauro. Wow! He totally exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend this tour in beautiful Quito ❤️ helen s2025-01-15 AMAZING tour with an AMAZING guide!!! GREAT tour. I lucked out and was the only person booked that day so it turned into a private tour for me. Mauro speaks excellent English and has a vast knowledge of Ecuador its history and surrounding cities. We cover all sights listed in the description and then some. Being that it was only me the tour went over by about 45 mins because I’m shopper and wanted to spend more time a various sights as well stopping at locations along the way that were not necessarily listed in the description. There are a few steep hills to tackle on an incline, but nothing too challenging in my opinion. I HIGHLY recommend this tour both private and with a group. mcw2122024-12-14 The best way to get to know Quito Super recommended! The tour was super good and Mauro's guidance and explanation even better. He was very friendly and clear explaining each site and also great photographer. Great way to get to know Quito:) karen krystelle r2024-11-24 Magnificent bike tour of Quito The best choice I could make to shoot Quito in five hours. Mauro was a really good driver, he passed me many notions during the lap. There was the possibility to stop where you wanted to take pictures. The chocolate tasting was also pleasant in a spectacular setting in front of the church of San Francesco Franz650152024-10-30
Verificada Great experience, 10 out of 10 . Mauro is a great host , the bike riding experience was amazing , so many cool things to see Tedros2024-08-17Verificada I had an unforgettable full-day experience with Mauro, mountain biking in Cayambe and visiting a local market. Mauro's passion for the area and its culture was evident from the start. The day kicked off with an exhilarating bike ride through stunning mountain landscapes, offering breathtaking views and a great workout. After the ride, we hopped back into Mauro's charming 50-year-old VW Beetle—a true classic! He drove us to a bustling local market, where we explored vibrant stalls filled with fresh produce, handmade crafts, and delicious local treats.Mauro was an exceptional host—friendly, knowledgeable, and full of energy. This experience was the perfect blend of adventure and culture, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the beauty and authenticity of Cayambe. Casper2024-08-09Verificada Top notch! Mauro offered one of the best biking experiences I’ve ever had. It was a thrilling ride for me. He picked me up from my residence and the drive in and of itself getting to the initial ride is gorgeous. We had a perfect combination of cloud cover and warmth throughout. He gave a healthy dose of local history and geographical references that helped me feel more connected to the land we were cruising. Highly recommend. For regular riders, the inclines and descents will get your heart going. I use Peloton 4-5 days a week. The hills got me breathy, but I’ll chalk it up to my body getting used to the elevation change. Lots of amazing views, bleeting goats here n there, delicious food, and great vibes. James2024-06-12Verificada 100% recommend. Not only the tour is great with amazing landscape and just the right balance between easy and a bit ‘more fun’ trails, Mauro is a great storyteller and knows a lot about his country and the areas where we rode by. Totally a must do if you are in Quito area! Lana2024-04-21Verificada This was such a fun day! Mauro was a great host and always had something to talk about. The bike I rode was nice and the ride at the equator had great scenery. The lunch was fantastic! I would definitely recommend this experience! Patricia2024-04-12Verificada This was a wonderful experience. It reminded me of my childhood when I used to ride my bike, and the restaurant had great food and a wonderful exhibition. Mauro is also very accommodating and friendly, and knows a lot about the history of the region. I definitely recommend it. Devin2023-12-23Verificada Inolvidable experiencia.Mauro es super amable y una persona empapada del lugar y de la actividad.Muy recomendable para los amantesde la bicicleta. Getsemaní2023-10-24Verificada Should you find yourself with a day and some extra energy and wish to get your ass kicked, this is a _very_ pleasant way to do it. Biking like your lungs need a separate vacation is a fantastic reminder that we can always test ourselves a wee bit more. Mauro is a fantastic host/ guide/ person to spend time with. The ride to and from the site was filled with conversation about local info and congenial banter. It’s like renting an old friend for a day!The restaurant was better equipped than most places I have seen. Especially the baño. New. Dry walled. Clean. Polite and well cared for dogs, which is a bonus for me. This was the best money I spent on this continent. (so far, but still) Andrew2023-07-25Verificada This was a fantastic adventure! The biking was just the perfect amount of challenge to make us feel like we deserved the delicious (and plentiful) Ecuador lunch. Mauro is a lovely host mindful of his participant’s abilities and he shares a wealth of local and historical knowledge. The bikes were in great condition and the helmets appreciated. The trip to the Otovalo market was a bonus and a great end to the day. Peggy2023-07-04Verificada I've logged +100k miles of riding and this route was amongst my favorites, bike worked great - really a wonderful overall experience... Fantastic (gluten free) lunch, great story telling/history experience, market was cool, awesome to drive around and get the lowdown on the culture. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! A++ John2023-06-15
Trustindex verifica que la fuente original de la reseña sea Google. A Must-Do in Quito! This tour was hands down one of the best parts of my trip to Quito. Riding through the city on a bike gave me a completely different perspective—you get to cover more ground than walking but still feel connected to the streets, the people, and the energy of the city. The guides were fantastic—knowledgeable, patient, and clearly passionate about what they do. They shared great insights about Quito’s history and culture at every stop, making the experience even more engaging. The route was well-planned, balancing beautiful sights with safe and enjoyable cycling. If you want a fun and active way to explore Quito beyond the usual tourist spots, this tour is the way to go. Highly recommend it! David Ruiz2025-03-26Trustindex verifica que la fuente original de la reseña sea Google. Ecuador is my 34th country and my first in South America. A one week solo trip for my birthday turned into moving there for about 6 weeks to fully take in the country and it’s wonderful people. I initially met Mauro on an organized tour but was so impressed by how knowledgeable, kind and organized he was that I ended up booking multiple private tours with him for the duration of my prolonged stay. I have asthma and, while I LOVE hiking, it has been a little challenging for me ever since I caught Covid in 2021. My lungs have never quite been the same, but Mauro was extremely patient and accommodating and I throughly enjoyed all the experiences I booked with him! He really listens to what your interests are and makes sure you get to see what you planned to on the itinerary; his genuine love for Ecuador and his job truly shows. Being a woman travelling solo, i'm always cautious especially with all the buzz going on about Ecuador right now; I truly felt safe and comfortable my whole time in Ecuador and have made some wonderful friends (including other travellers, my Airbnb hosts and super personable tour guides like Mauro). In addition to his positive energy, knowledge of the region and super kind demeanour, his pricing is very reasonable and I had a much better time booking privately with him than I did with the larger companies. While I normally prefer group organized tours to meet others while travelling, many of the other travellers I met in Ecuador were running into similar issues with the larger companies that seem to be operating as a monopoly under different names and showed almost zero knowledge of hospitality basics when interacting with tourists 😬 The routes Mauro chose for his bike tours were not difficult and are fully customized to your own capabilities and preferences. I was pleasantly surprised with how much easier biking in Quito was than I’d anticipated and we got to discover so many cool places we would’ve probably driven right by if on a bus! Not to mention it’s a carbon free way to explore the beautiful city. Ecuador is such a STUNNING country with so much to offer; don’t let the news and bad business practices and terrible customer service of the larger tour companies prevent you from exploring this beautiful place, meeting some of the kindest people and probably making wonderful lifelong friends! Of course it’s always wise to be aware of your surroundings when travelling solo but booking a tour with a kind, knowledgeable guide like Mauro makes the whole experience so much more seamless. Highly recommend both Ecuador as a destination and Mauro as a guide! And as a bonus Mauro takes wonderful pictures and videos for you and will help you practice your español. Muchas gracias mi amigo! ☺️ Amira Hamour2024-04-21Trustindex verifica que la fuente original de la reseña sea Google. Las mejores experiencias y los mejores viajes, 100% recomendado!!
