Super Cool Quito Bike Tour The tour of Quito was an enriching experience. Mauro is a history buff for sure! It was interesting to learn about the Spanish conquistadors and how important churches were at the time. I loved the views from the Voto Nacional Church.Steven V2024-09-21Awesome day on two wheels. Had a wonderful time. Saw all of Quitó in a day. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend. Do this tour!Matthew B2024-09-20Quito on wheels Mauro is an incredible guide in Quito and beyond. He offers plenty of current and distant history that makes new folks more familiar with what makes this city worth visiting. Highly recommend.James2024-07-01A beautiful day in Quito The guide was fantastic, super knowledgeable and very accommodating to our needs. Took us around the city, hidden gems that you wouldn’t find online. Amazing to see whatQuito had to offerSohil N2024-06-03The best tour of Quito ever with the most amazing, knowledgeable and passionate guide. An absolute must! Easily the best guide and experience! I have traveled to quite a few countries and have done countless tours. No one has been as friendly and kind, knowledgeable and accommodating and passionate as Mauro! If you visit Quito or Ecuador you absolutely must do this tour with him. You’ll get some amazing insight into Quitos history, you’ll learn from a local and get the behind the scenes look you never thought you could. Mauro is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate and not only will you learn a lot but you’ll get the best views in the city, from every angle, visit the best stores, get the best recommendations and have the best time.An absolute must!Ramzi T2024-05-31Highly recommend! Awesome tour, Mauro was great. We went through most of the city in just a few hours and stopped for some great chocolate tasting as well.Vernon T2024-05-05Fantastic Experience & Guide!! Mauro is FANTASTIC!! This was the best tour! He knows a lot of history! It was a bit challenging, but not too much. So much excellent information! I highly recommend this amazing tour!Suzanne C2024-04-23Super fun way to explore the city! Ecuador is my 34th country and my first in South America. A one week solo trip for my birthday turned into moving there for about 6 weeks to fully take in the country and it’s wonderful people. I initially met Mauro on an organized tour but was so impressed by how knowledgeable, kind and organized he was that I ended up booking multiple private tours with him for the duration of my prolonged stay. I have asthma and, while I LOVE hiking, it has been a little challenging for me ever since I caught Covid in 2021. My lungs have never quite been the same, but Mauro was extremely patient and accommodating and I throughly enjoyed all the experiences I booked with him! He really listens to what your interests are and makes sure you get to see what you planned to on the itinerary; his genuine love for Ecuador and his job truly shows. Being a woman travelling solo, i'm always cautious especially with all the buzz going on about Ecuador right now; I truly felt safe and comfortable my whole time in Ecuador and have made some wonderful friends (including other travellers, my Airbnb hosts and super personable tour guides like Mauro). In addition to his positive energy, knowledge of the region and super kind demeanour, his pricing is very reasonable and I had a much better time booking privately with him than I did with the larger companies. While I normally prefer group organized tours to meet others while travelling, many of the other travellers I met in Ecuador were running into similar issues with the larger companies that seem to be operating as a monopoly under different names and showed almost zero knowledge of hospitality basics when interacting with tourists 😬 The routes Mauro chose for his bike tours were not difficult and are fully customized to your own capabilities and preferences. I was pleasantly surprised with how much easier biking in Quito was than I’d anticipated and we got to discover so many cool places we would’ve probably driven right by if on a bus! Not to mention it’s a carbon free way to explore the beautiful city. Ecuador is such a STUNNING country with so much to offer; don’t let the news and bad business practices and terrible customer service of the larger tour companies prevent you from exploring this beautiful place, meeting some of the kindest people and probably making wonderful lifelong friends! Of course it’s always wise to be aware of your surroundings when travelling solo but booking a tour with a kind, knowledgeable guide like Mauro makes the whole experience so much more seamless. Highly recommend both Ecuador as a destination and Mauro as a guide! And as a bonus Mauro takes wonderful pictures and videos for you and will help you practice your español. Muchas gracias mi amigo! ☺️Mira2024-04-20Best bike tour I’ve ever been on This is as honestly the best tour I’ve ever been on (and I have travelled full time for the last 4 years being digitally nomadic so I’ve done quite a few). Mauro was not only super kind and chill, but extremely knowledgeable about Quito, the history of the city and the country in general. I learned more than I could have imagined riding with him. We rode 25kilometers which was incredible, but he can adapt to your level of riding you’d like. I really feel like I got a good feeling of the city and was able to understand the terrain and layout really well with this length. He took me up the church spires and we even had a mini chocolate tour with delicious chocolates and coffee to keep us going on our ride.Do not hesitate to book with Mauro, will definitely recommend to all my friends and family visiting Quito.Lanny Z2024-03-15Bike ride through Quito We have a wonderful day with Mauro! Just the two of us. We thoroughly enjoyed our day riding through the old town, seeing churches, the chocolate tour was fabulous. It was the perfect mix for us. Great hearing from our guide about the city and the people. We were very impressed with Quito. If you have a chance, do this ride! 👏✅👍🙏Sherpa7242252024-03-01
Great experience, 10 out of 10 . Mauro is a great host , the bike riding experience was amazing , so many cool things to seeTedros2024-08-17I had an unforgettable full-day experience with Mauro, mountain biking in Cayambe and visiting a local market. Mauro's passion for the area and its culture was evident from the start. The day kicked off with an exhilarating bike ride through stunning mountain landscapes, offering breathtaking views and a great workout. After the ride, we hopped back into Mauro's charming 50-year-old VW Beetle—a true classic! He drove us to a bustling local market, where we explored vibrant stalls filled with fresh produce, handmade crafts, and delicious local treats.Mauro was an exceptional host—friendly, knowledgeable, and full of energy. This experience was the perfect blend of adventure and culture, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the beauty and authenticity of Cayambe.Casper2024-08-09Top notch! Mauro offered one of the best biking experiences I’ve ever had. It was a thrilling ride for me. He picked me up from my residence and the drive in and of itself getting to the initial ride is gorgeous. We had a perfect combination of cloud cover and warmth throughout. He gave a healthy dose of local history and geographical references that helped me feel more connected to the land we were cruising. Highly recommend. For regular riders, the inclines and descents will get your heart going. I use Peloton 4-5 days a week. The hills got me breathy, but I’ll chalk it up to my body getting used to the elevation change. Lots of amazing views, bleeting goats here n there, delicious food, and great vibes.James2024-06-12100% recommend. Not only the tour is great with amazing landscape and just the right balance between easy and a bit ‘more fun’ trails, Mauro is a great storyteller and knows a lot about his country and the areas where we rode by. Totally a must do if you are in Quito area!Lana2024-04-21This was such a fun day! Mauro was a great host and always had something to talk about. The bike I rode was nice and the ride at the equator had great scenery. The lunch was fantastic! I would definitely recommend this experience!Patricia2024-04-12This was a wonderful experience. It reminded me of my childhood when I used to ride my bike, and the restaurant had great food and a wonderful exhibition. Mauro is also very accommodating and friendly, and knows a lot about the history of the region. I definitely recommend it.Devin2023-12-23Inolvidable experiencia.Mauro es super amable y una persona empapada del lugar y de la actividad.Muy recomendable para los amantesde la bicicleta.Getsemaní2023-10-24Should you find yourself with a day and some extra energy and wish to get your ass kicked, this is a _very_ pleasant way to do it. Biking like your lungs need a separate vacation is a fantastic reminder that we can always test ourselves a wee bit more. Mauro is a fantastic host/ guide/ person to spend time with. The ride to and from the site was filled with conversation about local info and congenial banter. It’s like renting an old friend for a day!The restaurant was better equipped than most places I have seen. Especially the baño. New. Dry walled. Clean. Polite and well cared for dogs, which is a bonus for me. This was the best money I spent on this continent. (so far, but still)Andrew2023-07-25This was a fantastic adventure! The biking was just the perfect amount of challenge to make us feel like we deserved the delicious (and plentiful) Ecuador lunch. Mauro is a lovely host mindful of his participant’s abilities and he shares a wealth of local and historical knowledge. The bikes were in great condition and the helmets appreciated. The trip to the Otovalo market was a bonus and a great end to the day.Peggy2023-07-04I've logged +100k miles of riding and this route was amongst my favorites, bike worked great - really a wonderful overall experience... Fantastic (gluten free) lunch, great story telling/history experience, market was cool, awesome to drive around and get the lowdown on the culture. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! A++John2023-06-15
